This data set shows the number of individuals in the Pennsylvania child care workforce serving infants, toddlers, preschool and pre-kindergarten combined, and kindergarten and school-age combined, by STAR level of the facility where the individual has indicated they are employed. This data is determined by the employment information and the age grouping selection(s) (i.e., care level(s)) entered within the Professional Development (PD) Registry). The age ranges are defined in child care certification regulations. Individuals select the age range(s) they believe best represents their job duties. Individuals may select more than one care level and therefore will be counted in each care level they have selected. Data is included only for individuals working in family child care, group child care, and center child care. Data is current as of the last day of the quarter prior to the posted report. This report will be updated twice a year.

This dataset is quarterly data by county, including inmate admissions, average Texas Christian University Drug Screen II (TCU) score, number and percent of inmate admissions who identify opioids as top three drug of choice, inmates with a substance abuse problem, and number and percent who used opioids in the year prior to admission.
This data is available starting with the first Quarter of Calendar Year 2016.

This data set includes the estimated number of individuals in Pennsylvania with Drug Use Disorder, which is an approximation for Opioid Use Disorder prevalence. The estimates are developed by applying mortality weights derived from the CDC’s National Center for Health Statistics to statewide illicit drug use estimates from the National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH, sponsored by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration).

Immigrants living in Pennsylvania are a key driver of the economy. They make up 7% of the state’s population, but about 10% of the entrepreneurs. They are also over-represented as workers and founders in the science and technology industries. The top countries of origin for Pennsylvania’s foreign-born population are India, Dominican Republic, China, Mexico, and Vietnam. (1)

This information pertains to juveniles who, while under the jurisdiction of the Juvenile Court, were committed to out-of-home placement for a period greater than 28 days at least one time in conjunction with a juvenile delinquency disposition.
The proportion of juveniles who cases were closed and experienced a placement episode decreased in Calendar Year (CY) 2018 to 18.3% from 22.4% in 2017. At the same time, the median length of placement remained steady at 9.9 months.
This datasets represents the number and percentage of juveniles committed to out-of-home placement for 28 or more consecutive days (excluding detention, shelter care, and diagnostics placements).
This dateset is contained within the Juvenile Court Judges' Commission 2018 Statewide Juvenile Justice Outcome Measure report: this report reflects outcomes of juvenile offenders whose cases were closed during the report period and who have received a period of supervision from a county juvenile probation department. These reported outcomes are associated with community protection, accountability, and competency development.

There were 22,023 delinquency dispositions in Pennsylvania during Calendar Year (CY) 2018. This represents a 1.3% decrease from 2017 and a 13.4% decrease since 2014. Allegheny County reported a decrease of 17.0% from 2017 to 2018, and Philadelphia County reported a 5.9% decrease for this time period. One-third of the total dispositions occurred in the four jurisdictions reporting more than 1,000 dispositions; these jurisdictions include Philadelphia, Allegheny, York, and Delaware.

In Pennsylvania, juvenile court jurisdiction extends over individuals who have been alleged to have committed a delinquent act, as defined by 42 Pa. C. S. § 6301 et seq., on or after their tenth birthday and prior to reaching eighteen years of age. Juvenile court supervision can extend until the
individual is twenty-one years of age if the individual is currently under supervision. Age for purposes of this section was calculated from the
juvenile’s date of birth to the date of the offense in the written allegation.

The juvenile justice system has a responsibility to protect the community from known juvenile offenders. Juveniles who do not commit a new offense while under court supervision have a higher probability of remaining crime free.

Since 2009, county juvenile probation departments have supervised and closed 126,006 cases. The proportion of cases closed successfully during this time is 84.1%.
This datasets represents the number and percentage of juveniles who successfully completed supervision without a new offense resulting in a Consent Decree, Adjudication of Delinquency, ARD, Nolo Contendere, or finding of guilt in criminal procedure.
