This information pertains to juveniles who, while under the jurisdiction of the Juvenile Court, were committed to out-of-home placement for a period greater than 28 days at least one time in conjunction with a juvenile delinquency disposition.
The proportion of juveniles who cases were closed and experienced a placement episode decreased in Calendar Year (CY) 2018 to 18.3% from 22.4% in 2017. At the same time, the median length of placement remained steady at 9.9 months.
This datasets represents the number and percentage of juveniles committed to out-of-home placement for 28 or more consecutive days (excluding detention, shelter care, and diagnostics placements).
This dateset is contained within the Juvenile Court Judges' Commission 2018 Statewide Juvenile Justice Outcome Measure report: this report reflects outcomes of juvenile offenders whose cases were closed during the report period and who have received a period of supervision from a county juvenile probation department. These reported outcomes are associated with community protection, accountability, and competency development.

This data shows DEP’s performance under the terms of its Permit Decision Guarantee Policy. All authorizations that have time frames listed in Appendix A of that Policy are grouped by program and by fiscal year. Trends in the column “Disposed on Time” reflect DEP’s progress toward the aspirational goal of 100% of received permits processed on time.
The data shows actions that occurred in each fiscal year. For example, it shows the number of applications received in that year and the number disposed in that year. If an application is received in one year and disposed in the next year, then it will be counted in “Received” for the first year and in “Disposed” for the next year.

While STEM graduates aren't the only contributors to PA’s innovation economy, the number of STEM degrees awarded each year serves as a proxy for the labor pool’s interests and its level of skill development and sophistication (Milken 2018 Report).
As businesses grow in PA, they need skilled and well-educated workers who are prepared for the innovation economy. STEM degree programs help equip students with the knowledge and skills they need to enter the workforce and be successful in a tech-driven, global economy. (PA Department of Education).
Note about data: This table presents data collected from Title IV institutions in the United States. Prior to 2009-10, the data include only Title IV primarily postsecondary institutions.

This measure is both a factor for and outcome of a healthy, thriving economy. An inflow of new working-age adults to a region attracts outside companies and enables growing companies to stay. Outsiders bring new skills and ideas and help connect the region to the national and global economy. Research shows cross-regional migration may also drive up local wages. (1) Finally, net positive migration is a measure of a region’s attractiveness regarding amenities, school quality, safety, and a variety of high-quality jobs.

Venture capital (VC) is an important source of funding to help companies achieve growth and profitability. A strong VC regional presence is necessary to help young companies at every stage of their growth, decreasing the likelihood that they will relocate and take their existing and future jobs with them.

There were 22,023 delinquency dispositions in Pennsylvania during Calendar Year (CY) 2018. This represents a 1.3% decrease from 2017 and a 13.4% decrease since 2014. Allegheny County reported a decrease of 17.0% from 2017 to 2018, and Philadelphia County reported a 5.9% decrease for this time period. One-third of the total dispositions occurred in the four jurisdictions reporting more than 1,000 dispositions; these jurisdictions include Philadelphia, Allegheny, York, and Delaware.
This dataset is contained within the Juvenile Court Judges' Commissions 2018 Juvenile Court Annual Report; this report provides an overview of Pennsylvania juvenile court statistics, during 2018 and preceding years, to measure and quantify work across the state by juvenile justice professionals.
In Pennsylvania, juvenile court jurisdiction extends over individuals who have been alleged to have committed a delinquent act, as defined by 42.
Pa. C. S. § 6301 et seq., on or after their tenth birthday and prior to reaching eighteen years of age. Juvenile court supervision can extend until the
