The GIS Department has now created an Open Data Site for the free distribution of GIS Data. This site allows you to search for layers by key words or by themes.
You can download the data in Excel spreadsheet format, or via ArcGIS Shapefile format. You can also filter the selection prior to downloading the data. Additionally, we have links to our public facing Mapping websites and story boards.

This is a connection to Philadelphia's open data portal - OpenDataPhilly.org - built by Azavea, a Philadelphia-based geospatial software firm. OpenDataPhilly is based on the idea that providing free and easy access to data information encourages better and more transparent government and a more engaged and knowledgeable citizenry.

OpenDataPhilly is a catalog of open data about the Philadelphia region. It includes more than 300 data sets, applications and APIs from many organizations in the region, including from City government. A full list of datasets shared by Philadelphia’s municipal government can be found here: https://www.opendataphilly.org/organization/city-of-philadelphia

The website enables users to search for and locate data sets based on keyword and category searches. For each data set, application, or API, the website includes accompanying information about the origins, update frequency, and other specifics of the data. The record for each data source also includes links for downloading the data or accessing the application or API.

As part of our ongoing commitment to promote transparency, accountability, innovation and citizen engagement, Montgomery County has designed this data site to provide information on county initiatives and as a place to access the County's official published GIS data and applications.

This dataset contains summary information by county on Incidents involving Drug and Alcohol reported use in Schools.
School categories are Public School, Charter, Intermediate, Vo-Tech, Non-Public and other.
The data count fields are suppressed when less than 11.
The data and more information is also published and searchable online on the https://www.education.pa.gov/Schools/safeschools/Pages/default.aspx website under School Safety.

Digital Data is distributed as a countywide dataset in ESRI shapefile format. Aerial imagery is available as a countywide dataset either through Dauphin County GIS or downloaded from PA Spatial Data Access (PASDA also available on the Commonwealth Open Data portal)

This is an aggregate of two files - Population Estimates in a Filtered View - PA Digital Literacy Programs and the County Boundary file. Purpose - we aggregate two files together and then use that new aggregated files as one layer in the PA Digital Programs map, specifically so that we can show the county boundaries with information for those counties in the tool tip.
