The Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages (QCEW) dataset provides information about the number of establishments within a geographic area by industry as well as the average number of employees and average weekly wages paid. QCEW is the universe of employment covered under Pennsylvania’s unemployment insurance laws. QCEW employment is based on the location of the position not where the person resides.

he dataset describes a current state of mail ballot requests for the 2021 General Election. It’s a snapshot in time of the current volume of ballot requests across the Commonwealth.
The reason some birth dates will display as 1/1/1800 is due to confidentiality reasons of the registered voters.
Usually this is for victims of domestic violence.

This map contains information on the number of doses given for Naloxone throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania by County. Data is updated Quarterly starting with the first Quarter of Calendar Year 2018.

This indicator includes the hospitalization count and rate of hospitalization per 1,000 individuals estimated to have Drug Use Disorder for any of the following reasons: Opioid Use Disorder (OUD), Cellulitis, Osteomyelitis, Endocarditis, Soft skin tissue infection, or Viral Hepatitis (B, C, and D) for individuals diagnosed with OUD in the same calendar year.
Analyses were completed by the University of Pittsburgh using data from the PA Health Care Cost Containment Council and in cooperation with PA DOH.
PHC4’s database contains statewide hospital discharge data submitted to PHC4 by Pennsylvania hospitals. Every reasonable effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the information obtained from the Uniform Claims and Billing Form (UB-82/92/04) data elements. Computer collection edits and validation edits provide opportunity to correct specific errors that may have occurred prior to, during or after submission of data. The ultimate responsibility for data accuracy lies with individual providers.

NOTE:
This data set measures how many hospitalizations per 1,000 individuals are primarily for conditions related to opioid use. Each of the categories in this data set—Opioid Use Disorder, Intracranial and intraspinal Abscess, Osteomyelitis, Endocarditis, Soft skin tissue infection (Cellulitis), and Viral Hepatitis (B, C, and D)—measure the number of individuals with a primary diagnosis for that condition on their hospitalization record. Each of those records, except for Opioid Use Disorder, must also have at least one secondary diagnosis for Opioid Use Disorder. The full list of ICD-10 codes used to identify these conditions are in the excel spreadsheet listed under attachments below.

This chart shows counts of COVID-19 deaths by age by county. Suppression applies for quantities less than 5.

Data only includes information reported to EDRS, the Electronic Death Reporting System.

DCED Funding
This graph shows funds allocated to the Dept. of Community and Economic Development (DCED) from the state’s General Fund, by year. This is part of the annual budget proposed by the Governor and altered or approved by the General Assembly. The three DCED programs highlighted—the Ben Franklin Technology Partners, Manufacture PA, and Partnerships for Regional Economic Performance (PREP)—are central to fostering the Commonwealth’s entrepreneurial community and emerging technology companies, often providing necessary capital before the private market can feasibly be expected to step in.
Note re Small Business Assistance/PREP (red series): In FY 2011, Industrial Development Assistance Local Development Districts, Small Business Development Centers, and Industrial Resource Centers were consolidated into Partnerships for Regional Economic Performance (PREP).
Note re Manufacturing PA (green series): In FY 2017-18, the Manufacturing PA line item was created at $12M. That line includes the Industrial Resource Centers (IRCs). As a result of the IRCs being moved out of the PREP line item, coupled with the creation of a new program within the PREP line, the overall appropriation for PREP was reduced by $2M, but its programs were not negatively impacted.
