This data set shows the number of individuals in the Pennsylvania child care workforce within specific age ranges as reported in the Professional Development (PD) Registry. Individual ages are calculated based on the birthdate entered in the PD Registry. If the birthdate is blank, data will show as “unknown.” Data is included only for individuals working in family child care, group child care, and center child care. Data is current as of the last day of the quarter prior to the posted report. This report will be updated twice a year.
To protect the confidentiality of participants in OCDEL’s programs, it is necessary to limit the amount of data that is available, even in aggregate form. Specifically, counts of 10 or less have been suppressed to protect the confidentiality of individuals (Number is not displayed when count of individuals is less than 11.). Additional counts have also been suppressed to prevent the calculation of suppressed values (Number is greater than 11 but is not displayed.).

While STEM graduates aren't the only contributors to PA’s innovation economy, the number of STEM degrees awarded each year serves as a proxy for the labor pool’s interests and its level of skill development and sophistication (Milken 2018 Report).

As businesses grow in PA, they need skilled and well-educated workers who are prepared for the innovation economy. STEM degree programs help equip students with the knowledge and skills they need to enter the workforce and be successful in a tech-driven, global economy. (PA Department of Education).

With the conclusion of the 2018-19 school year, nonresident alien students were dramatically overrepresented among STEM graduates, whereas white students were slightly underrepresented and Black or African-American students were dramatically underrepresented.

New Business Early Survival Rate by State (2011-2020) Community and Economic Development
The percentage of new employer establishments that are still active after one year of operation (comparative yearly percentage for the U.S. and selected states from 2011 to 2020)

Historical Dataset starting with School Year 2016-2017 through the most Current School Year enrollments for all publicly funded schools in Pennsylvania as reported by school districts, area vocational-technical schools, charter schools, intermediate units, and state operated educational facilities. Local education agencies were asked to report those students who were enrolled and attending as of October 1, of the later year.

County and Statewide Totals Notes:

Statewide and county totals include counts of students attending education classes on a full-time basis outside their parents' district of residence. This data was obtained from the Bureau of Special Education.

Intermediate Unit and CTC Part-day enrollments are excluded from county and state totals.

Statewide and county totals are unique counts of students being educated by public Local Education Agencies. LEA and School level reports may not sum to the County and Statewide totals.

The Department of Environmental Protection's mission is to protect Pennsylvania's air, land and water from pollution and to provide for the health and safety of its citizens through a cleaner environment. We will work as partners with individuals, organizations, governments and businesses to prevent pollution and restore our natural resources.

DEP's Regional Offices are responsible for implementing department programs through permitting, inspection, enforcement, and other field services for environmental and public health protection; program and technical support to Pennsylvania's 66 conservation districts; and compliance assistance to our regulated community. In addition, staff in the regional offices provide assistance to the public in the form of emergency response, disaster recovery, pollution prevention, and energy assistance and complaint response.

The regional offices directly implement the Air Quality, Environmental Cleanup and Brownfields, Radiation Protection, Waste Management, Watershed Conservation and Restoration, Clean Water, Waterways and Wetlands, and Safe Drinking Water Programs. Each regional field office is structured in the same manner to consistently implement these programs and services statewide. Additionally, the regional offices provide support services to the Active and Abandoned Mining Operations and Oil and Gas Management programs.

In 2019, DEP launched the Regional Permit Coordination Office (RPCO).
