Grant equivalent subsidy per household served
PENNVEST aims to provide low-interest loans and grants for the financing of projects that benefit communities and the Commonwealth in a variety of ways. This measure shows the grant or grant equivalent amount per household served by projects financed through PENNVEST. This measure is calculated by looking at the grant dollars awarded or subsidy relief achieved in relation to current market rates for the customers of PENNVEST financed projects. This measure tends to have variance from year to year due to the population served in the projects being financed. 
Percentage of total project funding allocated to projects that would otherwise have higher financing rates
PENNVEST aims to provide low-interest loans and grants for the financing of projects that benefit communities and the Commonwealth in a variety of ways. This measure shows the projects receiving grant or grant equivalent subsidy as a percentage of the total projects funded by PENNVEST. This measure is calculated by looking at the grant dollars awarded or subsidy relief achieved in relation to current market rates for the customers of PENNVEST financed projects.
Population affected by drinking water projects funded in each year
Each year, thousands of Pennsylvania Citizen’s benefit from clean drinking water provided through projects financed by PENNVEST. These projects range in size from small systems that provide drinking water to small communities and large systems that support large or sometimes multiple communities. As a result, the population benefiting from PENNVEST funded projects, each year, can vary widely depending on the scale of the projects funded that year. This chart shows the population served by systems that received PENNVEST funding to construct new drinking water systems or to upgrade existing drinking water systems that served their community.
Drinking water projects approved that will maintain or bring customers' water into compliance with commonwealth drinking water standards
The Environmental Protection Agency sets drinking water standards and PA Department of Environmental Protection enforces them in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. PENNVEST funds many projects, each year, that either bring drinking water systems that were previously out of compliance back into compliance or that help to maintain the current compliance of an existing facility. This measure shows the number of drinking water projects that were approved during the fiscal year that will either bring a facility into compliance or help them to maintain their current compliance to drinking water standards.
Sustainable jobs created by PENNVEST-funded projects
As a result of projects financed through PENNVEST to address various water quality issues, an added benefit is the creation of new jobs. This measure reports the jobs created by projects that PENNVEST financed during the fiscal year. This number does vary from year to year based on the type of projects funded and the scope of those projects being funded. However, each year new jobs are created as a result of projects funded by PENNVEST.
